Spring is more than just a season—it's an invitation. A gentle nudge from nature to let go of the heavy, the hidden, the forgotten. It’s a chance to press reset, not only in your physical spaces, but deep within your mind and soul.
In this special Spring Awakening feature, we’re sharing a holistic refresh—from the inside out. Because true transformation starts within and expands outward, touching everything around you.
So grab a notebook, your bevi of choice, light a candle, open a window—and let’s begin.
“Your home is a reflection of your soul—clear it with love, and watch your life shift.”
Before we touch a drawer or a shelf, we start with the heart.
What am I holding onto that feels heavy?
What thoughts, worries, or beliefs am I ready to release?
Is there a relationship, commitment, or habit that no longer feels aligned?
✨ Spring soul mantra: “I release what no longer feels like mine.”
Clean one physical space with intention
Unfollow 5 accounts that drain your energy
Start a new morning or evening ritual
✨ "Outer order creates inner calm." — Gretchen Rubin
"The first step in crafting the life you want is letting go of what you don't."
Pick one from each:
Movement: stretch, walk, yoga
Mindset: journal, affirmations, meditation
Magic: tea ritual, candle lighting, oracle pull
I am open to new beginnings.
I release what no longer serves me.
I follow what lights me up.
I honor my inner wisdom.
I trust the timing of my growth.
"Speak to yourself like someone you love."
Step 2: Declutter Your Mind
Mental clutter can feel like 37 browser tabs open in your brain. Let’s close a few, shall we?
Brain dump every worry, task, or idea onto paper—no filtering
Delete old apps, files, or photos from your phone that drain your focus
Start your morning tech-free, even for just 10 minutes
Schedule “nothing time” weekly—your nervous system will thank you
💭 “A clear mind creates space for creativity, clarity, and calm.”
Organization doesn’t have to feel overwhelming — in fact, it can be incredibly freeing once you take the first step. Start by removing everything from the space you’re tackling, whether it’s your pantry or closet. Then, sort every item into three clear piles: keep, donate, and toss it.
Place your donate items into bags or boxes and schedule a pick-up or drop-off with your favorite charity right away.
For the toss-it pile, bag it up and haul it out quickly so clutter doesn’t creep back in.
Now, with only your keepers left, reintroduce them into the space with intention — grouping items by type, color, or category, and using baskets, bins, or organizers to keep everything in its place. One simple step at a time, you’re creating a space that feels as good as it looks.
Remove shoes, jackets, and anything that doesn't belong and donate if not using it.
Add a welcoming candle, hook, or basket for simplicity
Say hello to the space that says hello to you
Remove clutter from coffee tables and shelves
Toss / recycle old magazines and books
Donate or store décor that no longer sparks joy
Add fresh flowers or a bowl of citrus for spring energy
Clean out expired pantry items and spices.
Clean out the fridge and freezer of anything 6 months old.
Donate duplicates of mugs, gadgets,mis-matched cups and plates etc.
Go throw each drawer and ask yourself if you've used this and if you can't come up with a reason to keep it - donate it.
Get rid of old pans especially if they have knife marks tearing into the bottom. It's not only toxic it's going to cook up into your food the next time you use it.
Wipe down surfaces and open windows while you do it
Display fresh herbs or seasonal fruit
Clear nightstands and under-the-bed storage. Donate or toss anything taking up un-necessary space.
Wash all linens and rotate in lighter fabrics. Only keep 2 sets of sheets and donate the rest.
Towels - go through and donate mis-matched ones, old and worn ones and donate them. This is a great time to purchase a new set of 8 and donate the rest.
Add lavender or calming essential oils
Ask: “Does this space feel like peace?”
Toss expired products and unused items
Go drawer by drawer and minimize the mess.
Makeup and accessories - if it's over a year old toss it.
Organize essentials into pretty containers or trays
Add plants, a candle, or a small ritual corner for reflection
Keep only what fits, feels good, and reflects who you’re becoming
If you haven't worn it in 2 years -let it go.
Socks and underwear - get down to 7 - 10 pairs of each and throw the rest away.
Workout clothes and Nighties - keep your faves and donate the rest.
Donate what no longer resonates—bless it and release it
Store winter items and rotate in spring tones and textures
Let go of what no longer serves you. You are not meant to carry it all.
Your email inbox (unsubscribe + delete)
Your calendar (decline with grace)
Your friendships and commitments (release the ones draining your energy)
Your self-talk (notice and gently reframe)
Get the kids involved with de-cluttering their rooms (donate clothes, toys, books)
Garage (purchase bins with tops) and start organizing and donating old tools, holiday decorations, anything you're storing and needing to let go.
Closets in other rooms that maybe storing items that you don't need.
What songs make me feel light, alive, and renewed?
Add them to your playlist before you forget!
Turn the music up while you de-clutter each space.

Conclusion
As you move through this spring refresh—from soul to home—remember that decluttering isn’t about perfection; it’s about permission. Permission to release the weight you’ve been carrying, to make space for lightness, and to welcome the new season with clarity and calm. Whether you're clearing out a closet or an old belief, trust that every small shift opens the door to something more aligned, more peaceful, and more you. Let this be the season you bloom from the inside out. 🌸
